Itinerary Sumba-Sumbawa-Lombok 12 Days

oh my God, just can't believe its already 2016 near to 2017.  It's hard to believe i left my blog exactly in a year! TIME FLIES SO FAST! in Holy Quran said, maybe it's a sign of the doomsday........or maybe my life is such a waste so i can't barely write!!

My trip to sumba!!!! HORRAYYYYSYYS *krik*wtf am i doin*
no, because there's so many many bunch of people(actually just 2 people) ask me how could i got there? SUMBA NTT WOW! *(b ajah plis ;))*

so first i would like to explain, how could i got there!
and fyi, me there, not using plane, but i choose the challenging route, (with train and boat) because i love challenge:))))) The fact is  i have a broke ass, and i can't afford the shitty cost of plane

Alright me here accompanied by my trip-y cutie friend :3   Yea he influenced me a lot about solo traveler, and he experienced enough, i thik. So.. That day we decide to make a duo traveler

1st Day (20 Agugust 2016)
We took a Train, Jakarta-Yogyakarta 11:20am-7pm with Bengawan Train, and we checked in at the Guest House, i forgot the name, but the price really cheap, approximately IDR 150.000.

we take a walk in malioboro spending the night, Even i had went here  Before, Maliobroro always bring  me some feeling that hard to describe #e  With the angklung street musician, angkringan everywhere, all that people need, good inexpensive food and arts  :))

2nd Day
The next day, we woke up in the early morning, prepare everything, 6:30 am we arrived at Lempuyangan.  We started the Train Journey within 12.5 Hours from 6:45-19:25. :))

12 hours trip not feel so long because this liltay angel hehe.  i forgot her name, but she's suppa cute :(

19:25 we arrived at Banyuwangi Station.  The next destination is Ketapang Ferry Port Banyuwangi.  The distance between station and the port only 500 meters.  So you just need a bit walks.  We had dinner there, and chill, did some stretch because the journey had began.

21:00 We took Ferry to acrrosed the sea, youu only need IDR 6.000 the arrived at Gilimanuk (Bali)
21:45 we arrived at Gilimanuk, we bought  Bus ticket for next destination (went to Padang Bai Harbour).  I forgot abbout how much the price, approximately 40.000.  We took the Bus at 01.00 am


3rd Day
This is the perfect we to cut off your budget, so you can took a bus in midnight, so you can have rest here, kinda multitasking.  That time the Bus only accomodate maybe 12-15 Person.  That time the buss very full because there was a group traveler, they wanna went to Rinjani Mountain.  So the roof of the bust full of carrier bag.  Ive slept in all way to Padang Bai.  this is also a hack, you should be really tired and took the midnight bus so you don't need to feel nausea.

5  hours by Bus

I arrived at PadangBai in the morning, early morning, 5:30 am.  I washed my face, go to public bathroom, brushed My teeth, and have a breakfast with nasi bungkus near the port, the price only IDR 7000.  That was really memorable Nasi Bungkus, the taste was so good. i am eating the nasi with Sunbathing in the Boat.  maybe the vibe made the taste really good hehhe.

The Next Destination is Lembar, we need 4 hours to crossing the sea by mini ship (bigger than boat)
the boat had a smoking area and no smoking area.  The non smoking area contain an air conditioner and good interior.  The Ticket only IDR 40.000.

4-5 hours by ship

Arrived at Lembar 11:30 and we have lunched there.  The environment around thr Lembar Port was so Barren.  View tress grew there.  we drunk a lot of water because the weather was so hot, don't forget your sunglasses.  The food price is standard.
At 14:00 we enter the ship for continue our Journey to Waingapu, Sumba.

We stayed one night in this ship (KM EGON), so this is also hack, if you wanna avoid your nausea feeling, you can chose this kind of itinerary.

The cabin full of air conditioner, there's a mat for sleep. with the moderate distance.  there was a canteen inside the sheep, so if you don't like the ship-meal you can buy an instant noodle here,
You get 4 meals and 1 snack.  2 for lunched, 1 breakfast in the next morning, 1 for dinner.  The meal pretty ok.   You need IDR 200.000 for purchase the ticket


4th Day

27 Hours :)

The Next morning, i try to take a bath.  The bathroom was not bad, but maybe the hygiene person couldn't stand with the toilet smell.  The bathroom was clean but smelly.  However  i am pretty enjoy with this 27 Hours ship journey.  The scenery when acrossing between labuan bajo and sumbawa was super cool.

From Waingapu Port to the guesthouse we use like a manual grabCar,  the car type is terios, the cost 40.000.  the more people in it the more cheap price you get because you can share this kind of cost.
we chose a guest house the name is Sandlewood.  this is the super proper with worthy price.  Another guest house, for me, not really "proper".

we rent a motorcycle this night, and trying to looking for ATM, and the security guard in ATM can't speak bahasa, i don't know was he scared of me or just can't speak.   when i asking indomaret he went away :(

at waingapu there's no indomaret or alfamart.  there just a family mart, i forgot the name.  the family mart is like toserba so the stuff are pretty complete.  The city really quite, but its easy to find place to eat.  There's some cofee here.  i tried the coffee shop, is really okay.

5th Day
With motorcycle we explore the savanna Sumba.  Waingapu is a barren place, so you easily found Savanna there.  So  much beach you can found, but not really attract the visitor because the government not really concern to the Sumba Tourism.

AfThe first destination this day is Desa Rende.  This is traditional village, so in a village contain 4-5 related family.  The distance from my homestay is 70km, so the duration to reach this Rende Village about 1 hour 20 minutes.  i need to as some people where exactly the place was, i asked from the Elementary school kids, but they can't talk Bahasa fluently but they know what my question was.  So they just direct with her hand where way i should went.  Finally i arrived at Rende 13:00.  The village was so quite, but there was a woman sit beneath the shack, and she welcomed me so well.  she offer me the sirih, the favorite thing to chew in Sumba.  Sumba people was said "There's no day without Sirih".  When Sumba people just wake up, they should chew sirih fist before eat anything.

The man said, sirih could make your saliva well circulated also your teeth so strong, he boast me about his full teeth although he was 60yo.

The taste was bitter and spicy, but make your saliva taste so sweet!! fresh mouth all day long

Ibu lakabobo, who made this kain tenun sumba:)

Ibu lakabobo said, every women in Sumba Should can make the traditional fabric by weaving (kain tenun).  That was the traditional provision for Sumba women.  She said The Kain Tenun(weave fabric) usually join the national and international art exhibition.  She often went to Bogor for the exhibition.  She ask my phone number, she wants to meet us someday when she go to Jakarta someday.

When i was talking with Ibu Lakabobo, a car arrived, they were a tourist from French.  They were 2 women and 1 a tour guide also a driver.  The tourist said that she went there twice, the first time in 1970th and this is the second time.  She prefer Sumba to Bali.  She said, Sumba and Toba so peaceful, i hate Bali, overcrowd.

The funny things is their tomb, made by really beautiful stone, located in front of their home.  They Said the tomb should be in front of their home because the death is so near with the God, so we should respect them.

the next destination is Bukit wairinding.  The distance from Rende Village is 102 kilometers.  approximately need 2 hours.  So, we have launched at Mr.Cafee Waingapu.

  We continue the journey.
It's pretty hard to find where the Bukit Wairinding was, because there's no sign for the place.  We asking to several women who had rest underneath the shack, they said the bukit warinding is exactly behind them (the shack).  I'm bit surprised, they also said, we can parking in the front of the shack.  Once arrived there, i was upset because the sky was cloudy, so no sunset there.  The grass also so sere :( but the child really made my mood.  And i share them my pocket snack like Ultra Milk, Candy, Oreo, Regal biscuit, they were soooo happy.  they told me about the school.  they sing along about their culture song and the song was beautiful.  just 2 of them could speak bahasa really well, others didn't understand :(.  The told me they went to school barefoot maybe 5-6 kilometers. that make me sad.  Is hard to spoken by words how happy the feeling when i can share my few snacks

in the night we have dinner pizza and took some beer.  The food and interior really Ok

6th Day

in the morning we were packing, and go with travel i ordered before, we went to Waikabubak.  The ticket was IDR 40,000 .  The distance 129 kilometers, it took 5 hours,and really challenging road, your nausea feeling easily come out.  we had lunched in the middle of the trip,  in front of this house.

This house has no neighbor, but has a flag, child and dog.  it has everything :)

We arrived at waikabubak 13:00 WITA, we checked in some homestay, the price IDR 175.000  include breakfast.  at 15:00 we go to traditional village of waikabubak.  The distance only 6 kilometers from my homestay, i rent the motorcycle for a day IDR 75.000.

This village doesn't ask you far charge, but you can give them by buying their beautiful handcraft.  I buy the necklace from buffalo horn :))

7th Day

in the morning we check out, and we went to next destination Waitabula.  we went for 09:00 am arrived at Hotel Sinar Tambolaka 11:30.  The hotel so far, the most moderate hotel when i'm at Sumba.  The price IDR 200.000.  The hard things here is searching for motorcycle rental.  So i borrow the security motor for IDR 85.000.  I said to him, i just wanna went to Weikuri Lake.
the first destination is Pero Beach.  The beach really quite and wide.  Few tourist surfing there, the wave really good.  The ideal and clean beach.  There's no local people here, also no place to eat.  Like a private beach actually

Weikuri Lagoon is the best Place to Swim!! the water is so clean, but be careful in the edge of the cliff, there's so many BuluBabi, :(

The 8th Day
We checked out, we went to Weikelo Port By Ojek, IDR 15,000 only 5 kilometers from there, and we only ride one motorcycle for 3 people :)) CHENGTRI.
The ship so smelly, the price only IDR 60.000 the air conditioner not working.  I am not really enjoy this ship trip.  So we across the sea went to Sape Sumbawa

We arrived at 17:30 , and we went to terminal dara by Angkot, the price is 15.000.  The road is so challenging, sometimes in the upscale road, the angkot went down :(( so scary.  But Fortunately we arrived safely.  We searching for homestay, only IDR 50.000, but the place not so clean :(

the worst,  the owner really kind.  Sleeptight.

9th Day

Breakfast Nasi Uduk around terminal dara, we went for walk at Alun-Alun sumbawa, have launched, packing, booking tiket bus for Lombok Trip.

At 18:00 We went to Terminal, and have a long way Trip from Sumbawa-Lombok Mataram

We eat for dinner at 9 Pm, and breakfast at 5 Pm

10th Day
we arrived at LOMBOK, TERMINAL MANDALIKA.  When we arrived there, a tourist ask me to join their open trip to make a cost more affordable.  But we deny it because we have our own itinerary :( so sorry :( we call the motorcycle rent, we choose  some homestay (near Kuta Beach)
We are the only indonesian in this homestay :(  Before we get the homestay, we found a Sade Village, its pretty near with Kuta Beach.  You need to pay for the guide at the village, approximately 25.000

Lombok is cool place, you can got 50% discount for Yoga if you are an indonesian :) In the beach, mostly are foreign tourist, we are the only indonesian :( sad truth.

This place sell beer with really cheap price.  The night life so good, the outdoors bar and the live music really addicting, although i don't know what the songs :(


11th Day
In the morning we packed,
We choose homestay rinjani, because we want located at center city of Mataram.  The price IDR 150.000.  The Distance is 50 Kilometers.
The first destination this day is Bukit Mresse,  The hill with the beach view

The next Trip is Sekotong Beach, but we didn;t take any photo here because my Ipad run out of batteries.


12th Day
